Stopped off in Norwich for 2 nights last week, my husband tried to book a reservation somewhere but could not get a reply, so based on the reviews I booked us in here. As with previous comments Denis is very welcoming, friendly but without being too effusive! I had scallops as a starter which were very good. On recommendation from... More
Welcome to Chez Denis, a family run Caribbean French Creole Restaurant in the centre of Norwich
Hello, I’m Denis Rosembert and this is our family business. Together we run a French Caribbean restaurant located at 2/3 Orford Yard Red Lion Street Norwich NR1 3TB, in Norwich City centre.
We have a six bedroom Guest House in Norwich near The Royal Norfolk Show Ground, on the Dereham Road,(76 Dereham Road Easton Norfolk NR9 5EJ). There are 4 Golf courses nearby, Costessey, Barnham Broom, Wensum valley golf club and Bawburgh golf club. There also fishing Lake nearby, Barford Lake.
Our location is excellent for shows at The Royal Norfolk Show Ground. Such events as The agricultural show, The Sundown Concert, many antique shows throughout the Year, the police gala and more.
The holiday apartments we have are, in the Caribbean island of St Lucia and two in Nice, Cote d’azur. Both the apartments in St Lucia and Nice offer an experience of a lifetime.
I have been catering since 1973 and was trained on the Creole-French island of St. Lucia, West Indies, the home of my holiday villa, Le Chateau Chez Denis.
At Chez Denis we are able to cater for your dietary needs – Coeliac (food intolerance such as yeast or wheat) – please enquire for more details.

We decided to come here for our first evening out in ages based on other reviews on this site - and it turned out to be a very wise choice!! We were instantly made to feel welcome by the manager (Denis) and decided to follow his recommendations for starters and mains - the food was absolutely delicious, the service spot-on... More
Lovely service and great food! follow the recommendation of the manager and you will fell in love with the food.
We've been to Chez Denis twice in the last month. The first time we came, it took me back to our Caribbean holidays. We were so impressed with the menu and the quality of food and drink that we came back as soon as we could get a babysitter! I've ordered the crab claws and the jerk chicken and the... More
We searched the restaurants in Norwich for something a bit different and this seemed to fit the bill. We were not disappointed. We had a lovely greeting from Denis on arrival and when we all started to speak a little French, which seemed to be appropriate for the type of restaurant we were in, Denis very gently corrected our mistakes!... Our friends took us to Chez Denis, they'd been there before and love the place - we were similarly impressed. We were late due to weather problems on the road but this was not a problem for Denis, who is a great host, very friendly and really made us feel welcome. The restaurant is quite small and cosy, the food... More

This is Norwich's best kept secret. Its a quaint little setting, hidden away from the hustle and bustle of Norwich City Centre. I was greeted with a lovely special rum drink from Denis which I would highly recommend. I had mussels to start and I have to say these were the best mussels I have ever had. So yummy. I... More
