Had a loverly meal, the roast duck was sublime and the service was great. Definitely recommend a try if you fancy something a bit different.
Welcome to Chez Denis, a family run Caribbean French Creole Restaurant in the centre of Norwich
Hello, I’m Denis Rosembert and this is our family business. Together we run a French Caribbean restaurant located at 2/3 Orford Yard Red Lion Street Norwich NR1 3TB, in Norwich City centre.
We have a six bedroom Guest House in Norwich near The Royal Norfolk Show Ground, on the Dereham Road,(76 Dereham Road Easton Norfolk NR9 5EJ). There are 4 Golf courses nearby, Costessey, Barnham Broom, Wensum valley golf club and Bawburgh golf club. There also fishing Lake nearby, Barford Lake.
Our location is excellent for shows at The Royal Norfolk Show Ground. Such events as The agricultural show, The Sundown Concert, many antique shows throughout the Year, the police gala and more.
The holiday apartments we have are, in the Caribbean island of St Lucia and two in Nice, Cote d’azur. Both the apartments in St Lucia and Nice offer an experience of a lifetime.
I have been catering since 1973 and was trained on the Creole-French island of St. Lucia, West Indies, the home of my holiday villa, Le Chateau Chez Denis.
At Chez Denis we are able to cater for your dietary needs – Coeliac (food intolerance such as yeast or wheat) – please enquire for more details.

I am in a bit of a dilemma here. I have to say this was the most memorable dining experiences I have had in a long time. Food was exceptional, service was informal but spot on, atmosphere (it was a full house) was just how you would want it, the gentle hum of people enjoying the evening. With only 32(?)... More
We were lucky to have got a table but there was a last minute cancellation. A table over the weekend is a hard thing to come by -we discovered. This restaurant is a family affair. The charismatic head chef came out to great us and made excellent recommendations. His wife took our order and their son saw to the rest... More
Tucked away in quiet back alley, a stone's throw from the hurly burly of St. Stephen's Street, Chez Denis offers a menu full of Creole flavours redolent of the eponymous patron's French-Caribbean origins. Well cooked, presented and served in an intimate setting where - for once - conversation is not drowned out by unnecessary music. Highly recommended.
Staying in Norwich for the weekend we ate here on the Friday evening. It is a small restaurant with a cosy feel . Denis seems to do the cooking and a friendly waitress works front of house. Having said that Denis did venture out of the kitchen to ask how things were. They were excellent. The food is Caribbean based... More
We found this gem when we were looking for a place to lunch pre theatre visit. We had very good toasted sandwiches and just loved the atmosphere of the place. I noticed that it opened in the evening and asked to see the menu. There were some interesting creole/ Cajun dishes and I was intrigued enough to book for that... More
We visited lunch time and we were impressed enough to ask for the evening menu, Norwich is fairly crammed with half decent places to eat so we felt were taking a leap of faith with this quite small intimate restaurant its run by the guy who's name is over the door Denis he is very engaging and pleasant the food... Haven't been here since the establishment changed hands, so thought it was time to give it a go and was very pleased we did. A nice warm welcome (the place was very busy) and a promise that the next table would be kept for us if we wanted to wander off for five minutes. The menu was reasonably priced, and... More

I was with my fiancee and a group of friends, my fiancees family are mostly from the caribbean, so I have lots of experience with this type of cuisine. We had... More
