I found this place on Tripadvisor as were staying in Norwich and wanted to try somewhere different. Chez Denis didn't disappoint. It's small and tucked away in a yard off Red Lion Street but its cosy and welcoming and the food is tremendous. I started with scallops in a Creole sauce that was hot but not eye watering, followed by... More
Welcome to Chez Denis, a family run Caribbean French Creole Restaurant in the centre of Norwich
Hello, I’m Denis Rosembert and this is our family business. Together we run a French Caribbean restaurant located at 2/3 Orford Yard Red Lion Street Norwich NR1 3TB, in Norwich City centre.
We have a six bedroom Guest House in Norwich near The Royal Norfolk Show Ground, on the Dereham Road,(76 Dereham Road Easton Norfolk NR9 5EJ). There are 4 Golf courses nearby, Costessey, Barnham Broom, Wensum valley golf club and Bawburgh golf club. There also fishing Lake nearby, Barford Lake.
Our location is excellent for shows at The Royal Norfolk Show Ground. Such events as The agricultural show, The Sundown Concert, many antique shows throughout the Year, the police gala and more.
The holiday apartments we have are, in the Caribbean island of St Lucia and two in Nice, Cote d’azur. Both the apartments in St Lucia and Nice offer an experience of a lifetime.
I have been catering since 1973 and was trained on the Creole-French island of St. Lucia, West Indies, the home of my holiday villa, Le Chateau Chez Denis.
At Chez Denis we are able to cater for your dietary needs – Coeliac (food intolerance such as yeast or wheat) – please enquire for more details.

We decided to pop into Chez Denis on Easter Saturday on the off chance that they had a table. Fortunately they did and Denis seated us himself and made us welcome. He is a warm and engaging host and no matter how busy the restaurant he always had time for everyone. My husband ordered the Creole chicken and I (very... More
Not sure where to go in Norwich for a change. Didn't fancy the normal noodle or burger option and came across Chez Denis. How glad I am we did! He is a perfect charming host with such enthusiasm for the menu you just have to try it. We had the chilli beef which was as soft and tender as I've... More

We took the family - daughter, Brazilian son-in-law and 2 grandchildren - 12 and 8 for a special night out. We all love our food and I had read so many amazing reviews we just had to try it for ourselves. Exactly what it says on the tin. Denis is an excellent host and raconteur. The children were welcomed and... More
We always enjoy a meal in this little French Caribbean restaurant: Cajun spices, unusual fish dishes, relaxed atmosphere, generous portions of vegetables at no added charge. Friday and Saturday nights often busy, so booking advised.
We got a table here on a busy Friday night in December, The staff, Denis, and the waiter lad (forgot his name) were fantastic, the food was lovely, the service was spot on and the ambience in this bijou restaurant was relaxed and enjoyable.
interesting menu spoilt for choice if you love cajun creole food. friendly cozy atmosphere entertaining owner who made us feel very welcome. Clearly there were diners who had been many times before which is always a good sign, Certainly go back to try other dishes on the menu
I had been meaning to try this place for some time and as my daughter and I were in the shop next door we gave it a look. The place had a very relaxed feel about it and the staff were happy and helpful especially the owner who is quite a card. The food we ordered was well presented and... More
This place is trying to be a trendy bistro, sadly we don't think it managed this for lunch with food, atmosphere or service. We only sat down as the trip reviews were so good. Dirty tables whilst staff chat are never good. The ploughmans lunch came with salad (this appalled my husband!) The baked potato with chilli beef was ok... More
