My friend and I dined at Chez Denis on Saturday night, and I was wonderfully surprised at how good the food was, and how welcoming the service was. It is a cosy restaurant, with full view of the kitchen, which was comforting, especially as Denis was front of house ensuring us guests were looked after, and the food delivered was... More

We have been dining at Dennis restaurants for over 10 years one of the few restaurant's I'm happy to spend the money, the food can be spicy but perfectly fine tuned, so well balanced in every aspect, fine presentation without being pretentious, and Dennis and family are always welcoming and warmly courteous. Quite literally cannot recommend enough!
We had a celebration meal out at Chez Denis for 16 people on a Saturday night, and we all ordered different starters and mains. There was plenty to choose from and all the meals were served up promptly and were very tasty. I had the mutton curry and it was served with rice, extra potatoes and veg, and as we... More
Denis thank you for a great night out, we did not even look at the menu Denis chose for us including the wine, absolutely fabulous!

The restaurant isn't massive - 8 tables maybe, but any more and the experience would be spoiled. Waiting staff were fantastic - charming, well trained and knowledgeable. I am a coeliac and this was no problem for them - I could still... More
Excellent food, truly excellent service. Definitely worth a trip, well worth the money. The rum punch is a knock-out - don't miss out! 10/10
We visited Chez Denis because we'd never been but we will definitely be going back. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Real authentic Creole food, what a treat.
Visited on a Saturday evening with two friends. The service was excellent to start with while the restaurant was quiet, but as it got busier we struggled to attract attention to order desserts and to get the bill. We waited so long to pay we had a very brisk walk to the station! But the food was absolutely delicious. The... More
Denis came into my workplace to celebrate Black History Month and bought his creole chicken, vegetable ragout and caribbean salmon - it all tasted amazing! Such a refreshing change for a work lunch. I look forward to visiting his restaurant in Orford Yard.
